[And so, shortly before the end of the hour, Gundam will be arriving at Sonia's house, with the Four Dark Divas ready to greet Sonia, and bearing something wrapped in tin foil in his hands.]

[Sonia is more than happy to let Gundam into her home, cat and rabbit following her like the faithful guards they've decided to become. When she spots the Dark Devas, she smiles happily and holds out a packet of sunflower seeds that she had left over.]

This is a pleasant surprise, Tanaka-san, but you didn't have to bring anything over. I assure you that I have been taking better care of myself since my time of convalescence.

Some warm air travels in, as do the Dark Devas, who scamper over towards the offered packet while looking all too pleased to spend time with Sonia again.]

[She steps back and allows her company in, spreading the seeds on her carpet to the side so that the Devas and a cautious Tsukushi can partake. When they are taken care of, she picks up her kitten and turns her attention completely onto her guest.]

Is it too much to assume that you are talking about my date of birth? Mother said it was nearly the new moon, so you may be correct in assuming that it was a dark night.

[Sometimes even Gundam's dramatics are right.]

Sonia... [His cheeks start to redden again as he holds up the wrapped item.] This may not be the prophecized time of celebration, yet it must be marked in some way. So... On this day of the birth, strengthen your spirit by consuming the devil's flesh!

[He then unravels the foil to reveal that it's a piece of devil's food cake, that he holds out to her.]

[As his cheeks redden, so do hers. It's never been something she's tried to hide, her feelings for Gundam, but it's also something they don't discuss. Or they've just avoided talking about.]

Prophesized time of celebration?

[Gundam, you just ruined the surprise. But her attention is distracted from that train of thought as she looks down at his gift.]

You've brought me cake! How lovely! Thank you, Tanaka-san! But is much too large for me to eat alone, so you must help me!

[It is, but the fact of the matter is that Sonia is quite fluent in it. So, she knows what he means. But she'll still act surprised when she is brought to this party.]

[Sharing meals together at the restaurant and picnic lunches has prepared her for eating with him. However, she cannot do so with him sitting in front of her with nothing to do.

She moves from the counter and sets some water to boil and plates, cups, and silverware for accompanying the dish of cake. She takes his offering and halves it, putting a portion in front of him as well as a cup of the tea he brought her when he first came to visit her.]

I am glad that you've come to visit me on this day. It's rare that you do so.

[A smile tugs at his lips as she expresses her gladness, and he takes his seat at the table as he overlooks his portion.]

...It is only proper to pay respects on the day of your birth. Even for a fiend like me...
